A lot goes into Riding Tandem, from social media posts to our newsletters. It all couldn't be done without our amazing group of interns! We’re excited for you to get to know them as they each bring their own set of skills to the team!
BUSINESS BABE
Meet Julia Perez, our Business Babe! She ensures all things Riding Tandem are running smoothly. Some of her duties include assisting Carlie during intern meetings and organizing team outings. She likes to think of herself as Carlie’s “extra hands”. She is currently a senior at Grand Canyon University (GCU) and plans on graduating this December! In addition to studying Hospitality Management and working alongside Carlie, Julia works as a front desk agent at a sweet new hotel called ARRIVE Phoenix. She loves spending her time with family and friends, singing, and thrift shopping. She is looking forward to post college life and hopes to either continue working in the wedding industry or travel and work for resorts and hotels!
SOCIAL MEDIA TEAM
Meet Megan Giannosa! As the Media Aficionado, she’s in charge of Riding Tandem’s Instagram stories. She posts behind the scenes content, wedding day moments, tips, and more. If you’re ever in our DMs, she’s the one responding! When Megan isn’t creating templates in Canva, baking, or studying Hospitality Management at GCU, she’s working part-time as a floral designer at Array Design. Megan enjoys shopping with friends and binge watching The Real Housewives of (insert any city here). She hopes to someday run her own event planning company or work for Disney’s events department!
Meet Lainey Perry! Her duties as Riding Tandem’s Social Media Extraordinaire are designing the Instagram grid, tagging vendors, and creating hashtags! She recently graduated from Estrella Mountain Community College with a degree in Multimedia Arts and is currently running her own small business called @ljlimited.co. Her most popular product at the moment are her tie-dye masks! When Lainey is not working or creating, she enjoys thrift shopping and trying new foods, especially spicy foods! She hopes to continue her small business and eventually become a wedding planner. She has always dreamt of becoming one and loves ALL things weddings!
Meet Aiden Sundin! Aiden is Riding Tandem’s Photo Pro! He will be documenting the team's semester as well as creating content for our Instagram and Facebook pages alongside Megan and Lainey. Aiden is currently studying Sports Management at GCU and in addition to Riding Tandem, he’s also a barista at Grand Canyon Beverage Co. Aiden loves to camp, travel, hike, and explore new places. He also loves playing intramural basketball and ultimate frisbee. Aiden’s dream is to start up his own photography business, mostly focusing on weddings, elopements, and couples. He also hopes to someday launch a nonprofit organization assisting local and global communities.
ONLINE MARKETING TEAM
Meet Alex Schober! Alex is our Blog Specialist who recently graduated from Northern Arizona University (NAU). She is the one behind Riding Tandem’s weekly blog posts! When she’s not creating entertaining, inspirational, and educational content for Riding Tandem, she's organizing crafts for students who partake in Jefferson Recreation’s after-school program. On her days off, you can find Alex at O.H.S.O Brewery and Distillery with her friends and family or binge watching Netflix shows such as How to Get Away with Murder. She hopes to someday work in marketing, public relations, or event planning.
Meet Steph Vlad! Steph is Riding Tandem’s Marketing Manager. As the Marketing Manager, she delivers weekly emails and newsletters to your inbox (if you haven’t already, subscribe here)! She graduated from Arizona State University (ASU) with a degree in Sports and Media Studies from the W.P Carey School of Business. Steph keeps her days busy preparing Riding Tandem’s emails, working as an Affinity Programs Coordinator at ASU, and giving youngins tennis lessons! On her days off, you can find her reading her favorite books, binge watching 90 Day Fiancé (including all the spin-offs), and cooking Pasta Roni *chef’s kiss.
Meet Natalie Giacone! Natalie is Riding Tandem’s Pinterest Queen! When she’s not preparing daily content to post on our Pinterest page, she’s studying Business Administration at ASU. Natalie loves visiting Northern California. Her favorite activity to do when she’s there is explore the Redwoods and climb the trees. In her free time, she enjoys going on adventures and hanging out with her friends. This is Natalie’s second time working with Carlie and she’s very excited to see what this semester has to offer as she hopes to one day become a wedding planner!
As you can see, we have a great team of interns who are excited to learn the ins and outs of wedding planning and running a business! So far, we’ve really enjoyed getting to know each other and also have loved working with Carlie. We’re excited to see what else this semester has in store for us!
