Congratulations you’re getting married and we’re so happy to have you here! Let’s be honest, weddings can be kind of stressful, so many things are going on and you don’t want to forget anything. That’s why we’re diving into all things wedding preparation for tips on things to do or bring for your magical day! So, let’s get started!

THE CHECKLIST

Do you ever wonder how we as planners work to ensure we ourselves don’t forget anything, so we remain organized, two words, the checklist. That’s right, having a checklist is undoubtedly the foundation and key for a successful wedding during the preparation period. This tool will help you as the bride create the wedding of your dreams! We like to start off looking at the time period we have to work with, both leading up to the wedding and having a day-of timeline. Whether that means you just got engaged and are starting from the beginning or are a month out from your special day and want to fine tune what to prep for the day of, the checklist still holds the same significance and will be your best friend! Get yourself a cute bridal notebook, grab a pen, and get started! If you find yourself in the beginning stages of prepping and planning for your wedding day, things on your checklist might look like setting a budget, booking vendors, the venue, and any other services, whereas the bride who is in the final stages before she says “I do,” might be scanning all the details to make sure they all look good, like seating chart alterations, finalizing honeymoon plans, and follow ups with anyone who is involved in supporting you on your day!

THE EMERGENCY KIT

This is usually the part of the wedding day that we don’t want to think about but can’t ignore. It is crucial to factor into your wedding day prep assembling and bringing an emergency kit for the day of! No matter how big or how small, we’ve crafted some things to remember to include in this kit, so that if something comes up, help is on the way with this tool!

-Pain Reliever (just in case!)

-Beauty Things (nail polish, deodorant, extra makeup, bobby pins or hair ties)

-Essentials (stain remover, safety pins, needle and thread, tissues, floss and mints, tampons)

-Necessities (snacks and water bottle, add some liquid IV for extra hydration!)

Aside from an emergency kit, making sure your honeymoon bag is packed and ready to go is also a key part of keeping the wedding stress free!

THE MAGIC TOUCHES

You’ve got your checklist and your emergency kit to cover all things unexpected, but now comes the fun part to wedding day preparation! This encompasses all things details and unique to your special day. I’m talking decorations, personalizing your vows, practicing your thank you speech, assembling any gifts that you might have, putting cash tips in envelopes in advance for all your hard-working vendors, having your marriage certificate ready to go, along with any other magic touches which contribute to the ambiance of your day! A couple things we find to be magical touches to a couple’s wedding day are adding a personalized guest book, we especially like having a polaroid here, and a sparkler send-off, which creates special lasting photos for a lifetime as you are about to embark on your honeymoon as a married couple!
